Why It Works
Each of the nine essential oils in Shoo-Fly was chosen because it contains specific natural compounds that repel insects at the chemical level: Citronella & Lemongrass contain citronellal and geraniol, the most well-researched natural mosquito repellents. Clove contains eugenol, shown to repel mosquitoes on contact. Peppermint disrupts insect sensory receptors and also repels ticks, gnats, and flies. Cedar contains cedrene, which naturally repels ticks and biting insects. Thyme contains thymol, one of the most effective natural repellents studied for mosquito protection. How to Use
Spray liberally onto exposed skin and clothing before heading outside. Reapply every 1–2 hours during heavy insect activity or after swimming. Avoid eyes and mouth. Safe to spray on dogs — avoid their face and any irritated skin. Shake well before use.
