The best ice cream stand in the Adirondacks is Donnelly’s, and I will die on that hill. It’s open Memorial Day through Labor Day, and they only have my favorite flavor — lemon and vanilla — a few times a season. So when I see it on the board, it’s an event. I drive out of my way. I text my friends. It’s ridiculous and wonderful and it makes me feel like a kid every single time.
