Pure Placid Magnesium Spray on a bedside table

How to Use Magnesium Spray (and Why I Made It)

Our Magnesium Spray is simple. Two ingredients. A few sprays. Then bed.

Here is how to use it, what to expect the first time, and why I made it.

The short answer: To use magnesium spray, spray 5 to 10 times on clean feet, rub it in, and let it absorb for about 20 minutes before bed. A tingle is normal. If it leaves a white residue when it dries, rub it into your skin.

How to use magnesium spray

1. Start with your feet.
Spraying on your feet is best. Use 5 to 10 sprays on clean skin.

2. Rub it in.
Massage it in gently and give it about 20 minutes to absorb.

3. Make it part of bedtime.
Reach for it in the evening. After your shower. Before you get into bed.

You can also spray it on your legs, shoulders, or anywhere you hold tension. But if you only pick one spot, pick your feet.

Keep the bottle on your nightstand so it is there when you want it.

Why a spray and not a pill

I designed it to be sprayed right on your skin and absorbed there.

No pill to swallow. Nothing for your stomach to deal with. Some magnesium pills can upset digestion. A spray skips that.

You put it right where you want it. And rubbing it in becomes part of winding down.

What to expect

It may tingle.
That is the magnesium absorbing. It is normal.

You may see a white residue when it dries.
That is just the mineral. Rub it into your skin and it is gone.

Why I made it

For most of my life, I struggled with sleep. I would toss and turn and wake up feeling like I never rested. Some nights I had restless legs too. It felt almost electric, and it made relaxing feel impossible.

I tried everything. Herbal teas. Meditation apps. Changing my evening routine. Some things helped a little. Nothing really worked.

I was a nurse, so I started researching. That is how I found magnesium spray. I tried it at night, more curious than convinced.

"I slept. Really slept. Through the whole night."

My legs calmed down too. Night after night, I felt more at ease and more like myself.

That is my story. Everyone is different. But it is why I wanted to make one I could trust.

I made the first batch for myself. Then I gave it to friends. Then their friends started asking for it.

What is in it

Two ingredients. Magnesium chloride and Adirondack spring water.

No fragrance. No fillers. No preservatives. It is unscented, so you can use it on its own or with your favorite Pure Placid scent.

We make it by hand in small batches in Lake Placid.

I hope it becomes part of your night too.

Warmly,
Marcy

Where is the best place to spray magnesium spray?

Your feet. Spraying on your feet is best, and it is the easiest place to start if you are new to it. You can also use it on your legs, shoulders, or anywhere you hold tension. Use 5 to 10 sprays on clean skin and rub it in gently.

Is magnesium spray different from a magnesium pill?

Yes. A pill goes through your digestion, and some magnesium pills can upset your stomach. A spray is designed to go right on your skin and be absorbed there, so it skips your stomach. You also choose where it goes, like your feet, legs, or shoulders.

Why does magnesium spray tingle?

The tingle is the magnesium absorbing. It is normal and it usually fades as your skin gets used to it over a few days. If you want it gentler, spray it on damp skin right after a shower, or start with the soles of your feet.

What is the white residue left by magnesium spray?

It is the mineral. When the spray dries, a little magnesium can stay on top of your skin and look white. There is nothing wrong with it. Just rub it into your skin and it is gone. You do not need to wipe it off or wash it away.

Do I need to rinse magnesium spray off?

No. Spray it on, rub it in, and let it absorb. Most people leave it on overnight. If you would rather rinse, give it 20 to 30 minutes on your skin first. After that you can rinse it off or leave it, whichever feels better to you.

When should I use magnesium spray?

Most people reach for it in the evening, after a shower and before bed. It fits easily into a nighttime routine. You can also use it after a long day on your feet, a hard workout, or a long walk. Spray it where you feel it and rub it in.

Can I use magnesium spray every day?
